A day With my self
A day With my self
*Me as a friend at 4 am in the night to my friend*
Me: Hello, are you there? brother, I need you!
Friend: yes, what happened, are you okay, aren’t you?
Me: Yes, I am okay. But I want to ask something, do you go to the Gym daily?
Friend: Yes, why?
ME: Okay, listen as you go to the gym and as you are healthy, can I borrow your kidney, I want to buy iPhone-x!
Friend: @%&#$#$$#%
It was a noxious night for me (Not because he didn’t give his kidney). The story of badness starts when my mobile suddenly stopped working. For every action has an equal and opposite reaction, but my mobile didn’t know that. So, he stopped himself by closing his eyes without any action. (PS: where are you now when I need you! To Einstein)
Though I was using this Microsoft from many years, I am one of the loyal users of Microsoft (Even Bill is using Note 1+). I am the guy who usually sits quietly in the corner when people are debating about what is best, Android or iPhone!
Even if you are homeless, single and Engineer (This is not a grammatical mistake, the writer used these synonyms to represent the same situation more deliberately) you can get sleep after some point in the night but you can not sleep when you lost your phone. I opened my laptop. I saw the sales on Flipkart and Amazon will starting soon. But for that, I have to wait for few days! At least for 2-3 days max. I was feeling very suffocated at that time! Who is going to wake me up? Games, Instagram and all available on laptop but still I asked this to myself, Which I want to ask you through my blog,
“Have you ever imagined your life without your mobile phone?”
Just imagine one day you would wake up and you would realize that there is no single mobile phone on the planet earth, what will you do, will you be all right without it?
I don’t know about all of you, but most of us have the same answer and that is “NO”
The mobile phone has come into our life just 5-6 years ago. Now they are the most important thing in our life. From the morning alarm to last goodnight kiss to someone on WhatsApp or watching the Instagram post of the crush, who is now living in the different country or the one last time ‘channa Mereya’ from the playlist. Our daily life completely depends on mobile.
Our mobile phones have more secrets than ‘Alibaba 40 chor’ scribes. We have so many apps for our daily activity. We can order food from our mobile, we can order vegetables from our phones, we can like or dislike someone on mobile. We can play games on the mobile, we can watch all new movies on mobile.
So, as like normal person, I am nothing without my mobile. That time I remembered the famous dialogue from the Spiderman-homecoming.
“If you are nothing without suit, then you shouldn’t have it!”
I took it seriously, if I am nothing without my phone, then I shouldn’t have it. So, I decided to spend some days without the mobile phone.
In starting the days were suffocating, frustrating and irritating. It was not like that I was missing my phone. But I did not like to do anything. I did not like to wake up, eat food, do something. Even in the job I was working like a machine. All-time thinking about the mobile.
It is saying and it is absolutely true that we cannot understand the value of something until we lose it. I was thinking that if I had a mobile I would do that, if I had a mobile I would do this. It’s like without my mobile I couldn’t take a single step. It’s like addiction, like a habit of the cigarette without it you cannot live the life!
Even when the day I haven’t mobile I have realized that people around me are so busy in this 5.2-inch jail. At Starbucks people are seating in front of each other just using their personal mobile for hours and hours! Nobody is ready to come watch Daddy because they are busy to watch Dan Bilzerian’s live video from Hudson. Finally, one person was ready to come with me for the night walk, but on that walk, he was continuously using his phone to download one shitty game!
Everywhere, anywhere in the train, on the bus, in the malls, in the rooms, in the office whenever people would get few minutes free first thing they will do is unlocking their phone.
I read one Gujarati article, in which the writer wrote the beautiful true lines,
“Today, If I would give someone option that you will be alone in the world for few months and you have to choose between your one human partner or the high-tech most expensive mobile. Then 70% people will choose mobile instead of a person. No doubt, this technology is very good, world connects with each other, distance is the just word now, but people forget the enjoyment of the hot tea, Maska pav and few friends!!
Slowly I was getting over it from my addiction. Then Sunday came. I was excited, I had decided that on this day I will not cry like a baby, I would enjoy each hour this day!!
So, I woke up late on that day, went outside. I saw few children were playing ‘marbles’. I decided I would play with them. I bought few marbles from them and I had started to play ‘Indian premier league of Kancha’. I had played with them for at least 2 hours. I lost all my money and marbles too (They all were cheaters, ‘लूट लिया सालो ने!’). But at the end of the match, I was as happy as I had completed a level of Far-cry-5.
Then I went for lunch, I ate fresh Jalebies and the spiciest food 'Fafada' I have ever eaten my life. Then I had gone to watch ‘Daddy’ alone and took a corner seat! Whenever my front seat couple wanted to kiss each other, I shouted ‘क्या बात है!’ as loud as I can in PVR. Then I went to Band-stand, Bandra. Sat on the black rock near beach.
I was watching how the ocean fighting with stones, to involve them into her. Like a woman, who is wheedling his lover to come back into her. Like a woman, the ocean was trying to make up by anger, love, passion, depth, beauty. On the other hand, the rock like stubborn hearted man who is not moving at all. I Watched the beautiful sea-link and of course Watched group of girls around ‘Mannat’!!
Finally, I went to Mount Mary church to pray and
I prayed, “Thank you very much, God, to give us this beautiful nature. Thank you very much to realize me that something is more important then 5.2-inch Jail. I came back and slept in my warm blanket with the satisfactory smile on my face.”
I hope you enjoyed this story!
