The Protagonist-III
The Protagonist-III
It was a time of sadness, it was a time of some more sadness. It was a time when I couldn’t sleep at the night, it was a time when I couldn’t wake up in the afternoon. It was a time when I was eating a lot, Okay fuck it! I always eat a lot.
Every day millions of people with the dream in their eyes come to CST to complete their wishes. Thinking that Mumbai will never let them down. They tried and they worked hard but getting a chance or opportunity is not just about your hard work or talent.
“Try and try and you will become successful!”
Okay, but who will feed us till I am not getting my success? Who will pay my rent until I will complete my dream and buy a new sea face house in south Bombay? Who will give his/her daughter to marry me? Trying is good but it will not give you Rozi,रोटी, कपड़ा और मकान.
Now, why I am telling you these? Basically, you are here for the answer that “Bhai (For the restricted Persons only!), why did you take a job?”
The answer is “Bollywood”
Do you know any person whose life completely depends on the last movie he/she watched? Someone who wants to be ‘Bunny’ the photographer from YJHD after watching the movie million times or wants to be robotic engineer after watching Iron Man or want to be lead singer and guitarist after watching rock on-1 ( and not be a singer and guitarist after watching second one) or wants to be in RAW after watching Akshay Kumar in Baby or sometimes wants to be like a Kiara from Dear Zindagi or wants to be Vicky donor after watching...Oops! let's not talk about that!
If you don’t know then you are wrong!! The person who is writing this blog is a same kind person as described above. (I had changed my FB name after watching YJHD from Lay Shah to bunny!!!!!!!!! #bachapan_ki_nadaniya)
This story starts from the one dark, lonely and late night. When even local ‘Mumbaikar’ shut down their eyes (Yes, they sleep!) and take a rest for few of hours. I was watching ‘cooli’ in devil’s hour on my laptop.
“कोई माँ का लाल किसी को दो वक़्त की रोटी नहीं दिला सकता, क्यु की रोटी दिलाने वाला वह मालिक है, जिसने हर इन्सान को दो हाथ दिया है और कहा हे की, जा चीर दे यह जमीन सीना और निकाल दे अपने हिस्से की रोटी!”
Mr. Amitabh Bachchan using powerful dialogues to motivate me from the one side of the screen. On the other side, I was watching him, clapping and whistling on each scene. At the end of that film, I saw that Iqbal (Bachchan shab!) was fighting the villain who was shooting him but he had one chadar on the chest he survived and killed the villain and then Happy Ending!
Then I realized something and that was magical!
Our life is a movie. Not an English movie, life is full on masala Hindi movie. In which like a hero in the movie, we have dreams in our eyes. Like a hero, we fall in love and we broke-up. Like a hero, we are ready to die for a dream. In daily life, we fight against traffic, mom's emotional blackmail, boss's sarcasm, spouse's anger. Landlord's permission sometimes even against own self. Like a movie, our life is also crazy, adventurous, full of up-downs. If you compare your self with Amitabh Bachchan from Cooli then you would realize that even we fought many battles too. We all are protagonist our life.
The only difference between the filmy hero and we are that in the film there will always be a happy ending, Villain dies in the climax. Hero wins. But in the real life what happens you know that very well. Till the interval story moves swiftly but few minutes before the interval and after the interval story horribly changes. I was standing in that place right now.
I was thinking more about it because I couldn’t sleep now. Not because of this deep thought but because it’s already 5 o’clock in the morning and in few minutes dudh wala bhaiya will come and it’s my turn to open the door.
So, I couldn’t find any solution. So, I did the same thing which was done by an old wise man once. Opened the book… and took my mobile out of it and opened YouTube. (Yes, I use my mobile as a book marker, best use of any Microsoft mobile #bhulsebhinaelena!)
After random cute dog videos and who will win if Hulk and Flash would fight videos, I found out one Ted Video by my one of the favorite comedian Abish Mathew named,
“One for the Kitchen, one for the soul!”
I found the solution to my problem! See, logically You will not get success in few days or few months or in few years. If you have dreamt of being a writer then first you have to write something. Sometimes it will suck, sometimes it will suck more. Still, write on daily basis after few months you will be good at it. After continuous work of many years, you will get excellence in that. Excellence will come after a good experience. For that, you need 'patience'
But till then you have to earn something too. you cannot quit the job and tell your children that I am following my dream now onwards take your responsibility by yourself or you cannot say your land lord that I am not going to pay money because I am chasing my dream. You cannot tell your stomach that please manage for someday I will eat after two days because I am chasing dreams.
And if you are doing these for following your dreams then you are mad from my point of view. The real task is not running away from the problem. If you are really dedicated to your dreams then do the job in the day and work for your dream in the night. No one is telling you to do the job for whole life but since you haven't got a proper position there till then you cannot quit!
Today all India celebrate Independence Day and Janmashtami. Today we have Dahi-handi program in all over Mumbai. I noticed one thing from that the groups who are performing and participating in this festival from 15-20 years even they can also be fallen down. Even they were also making support first so if they fall down they would not be injured.
So, do not lose hope! you will be fallen down, you will be injured but you must not stop there because one guy from the Bollywood taught us that,
Nice one!!!
